Dennis Marcellino, Musician, Author & Entertainer

While pursuing a career in engineering in his native San Francisco in the mid 1960s, Dennis Marcellino felt a pull back to his roots in music. That ended up with him becoming a member of some of the biggest name bands of the day … Sly & The Family Stone (recently named by MSNBC as one of the top 10 bands of all time), The Elvin Bishop Group, and The Tokens (famous for the perennial mega hit “The Lion Sleeps Tonight”).

But the lifestyle that went along with being a successful musician in the ‘60s and ‘70s in San Francisco and Los Angeles proved to be not as glamorous as it first appeared. In fact the life of drugs and “free love” turned out to be very dangerous, as a number of Dennis’ compatriots in music were suffering and even dying from sexual diseases, drug overdoses and severe broken hearts in the process. Dennis also suffered from the latter two of these, which propelled him to question what life was all about and the best way to approach it. In 1982, After a 14 year journey of discovery, Dennis discovered the Truth he had been looking for in the Bible at Grace Community Church, pastored by Dr. John MacArthur, where he eventually went to Bible college and became a counselor.

Now his passion is to want to tell the world about what he discovered in Christianity. His full time devotion to this mission has produced 4 music CDs and a number of books, including Why Are We Here?, Addiction Free Forever and The Plague Of Liberalism. Which can be purchased through www.LighthouseBooksAndMusic.com.

Dennis is a dynamic performer with an engaging story. He spreads his messages as a national speaking and media veteran and is a frequent guest on TV and radio. For more information visit www.DennisMarcellino.com.
